Official CEH courseware
Structured coverage of the CEH curriculum using EC-Council’s official e-courseware and supporting learning material.
My current CEH study programme combines official courseware, live instructor-led training, guided video learning, iLabs and practical cyber-range work, with the goal of completing both the CEH certification and CEH Practical exams.
Current preparation
I have completed live instructor-led training and am continuing through the official learning material, labs and challenge environments included in my training package.
Structured coverage of the CEH curriculum using EC-Council’s official e-courseware and supporting learning material.
Live training combining curriculum coverage, demonstrations, practical exercises and opportunities to discuss the techniques being studied.
One year of guided video learning that supports revision and reinforces the material covered during the instructor-led course.
Six months of access to official online lab environments for practising the tools, commands and techniques covered by the course.
A controlled environment for applying ethical-hacking techniques, developing a repeatable methodology and improving practical problem-solving skills.
Global competition and challenge-based activities designed to test practical knowledge in realistic scenarios.
My iLearn package
The package combines structured learning, practical environments, continued reference material and vouchers for both CEH assessments.
How I am using it
I am not treating the courseware, labs and cyber ranges as separate activities. Each subject moves from structured study into hands-on practice, review and repetition.
Work through the official courseware and guided video modules in a structured sequence.
Complete the associated labs after studying each area of the curriculum.
Repeat practical exercises without relying on the original walkthrough.
Record useful commands, findings, security implications and defensive mitigations.
Use the cyber range and challenge environments to improve speed and troubleshooting.
Revisit weaker knowledge areas before attempting the certification examinations.
Keep all practical activity within authorised labs, cyber ranges and approved systems.
Planned certification path
Continue through the official courseware, guided video learning and instructor-led material.
Complete and repeat the iLabs, cyber-range exercises and CEH Compete challenges without relying on the original walkthroughs.
Validate my understanding of the curriculum, terminology, tools, technologies and security concepts.
Apply the techniques and methodology within a controlled practical assessment environment.
Successfully complete both the CEH certification exam and the CEH Practical exam.
Ongoing notes
I will update this page as my study progresses. Future updates may include completed learning milestones, general lessons from the labs, improvements to my practical methodology and reflections on preparing for the two exam formats.
I will not publish protected examination material, live exam questions, challenge answers, flags or other information that would undermine the integrity of the certification process.
Responsible practice
Security techniques belong in authorised environments with a clear learning objective.
All techniques studied as part of this programme are practised only in EC-Council labs, purpose-built cyber ranges or systems for which I have explicit authorisation. The purpose is to understand offensive techniques so that weaknesses can be identified, explained and remediated responsibly.
